CIA: “Caught in the Act”

of going Above and Beyond

United Southern Bank has started recognizing employees who are Caught in the Act “CIA” of going Above and Beyond their normal duties. It is our pleasure to share with you, our April recipient of 2017 CIA Award, Laura Lear.

Laura works at USB as the Head Teller/Customer service representative at our Crofton Branch. Her nomination by a fellow employee included the following:

“A call came in from Crofton Elementary School to make sure we had a change counter. It is Rotary Auction week and each grade had a contest on collecting change. Laura volunteered to go get the change and count it by class for them. The change was so heavy, her face was so red packing it in the bank. She ran it through the counter, took the list of grade amounts and the bill exchange back to them on her lunch and came back and rolled all that change.”

The nominator went on to provide even more reasons Laura was deserving of this award saying:

“She will go get business customers’ deposits if for some reason they are unable to make to the bank, take them change on her lunch breaks.  She is so nice to every single customer that comes in this bank.  She attends the Amish open houses at their business to make an appearance for the bank.”

Please join everyone at United Southern Bank in congratulating Laura for being caught in the act of doing good!
