USB Team Flexes Art Skills for Leadership Hopkinsville Project
Recently, the 2015-2016 Leadership Clarksville unveiled a series of new ArtHop benches to the local community.
United Southern Bank’s very own Amy Peters supplied the artwork for two of the benches.
According to class member, Brooke Jung, the purpose of this project was three-fold. For one, the lovely benches will help to beautify the Hopkinsville community by showcasing the work of local artists like Amy. Secondly, these works of art will also serve a functional purposes as places for people to sit at local transit stops. Last, but certainly not least, the project raised over three thousand dollars for the Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center via sponsorships of the benches.
We are thrilled to have one of our own be a part of this project and are proud of Amy for using her talents for such a great cause! In addition, we are excited for Matt Workman and Martha Argotte-Thomas, who were members of the Leadership class that assisted with these awesome benches for this Leadership Hopkinsville service project.
