We want to celebrate Stacy Powell, Compliance Officer, as our 1st Quarter Employee Spotlight!
Stacy joined the USB family in 2010 at the Main branch as a Teller. After a brief time, she also learned the CSR role. In 2013, she and three others were selected to start the loan processing department. Stacy enjoyed working in the loan processing department and as her abilities and leadership developed, she was promoted to head loan processor and assisted the BSA department and in time was promoted to BSA Officer. In 2016, Stacy was asked to fulfill the role of Compliance Officer when that position became available. Compliance touches every part of the bank, contains a magnitude of regulations to follow and is constantly changing, making it a very challenging job.
In February 2023, Stacy celebrated her 13th work anniversary with USB. When asked to reflect on her milestone, she said, “just like any other job there are good days and bad days, USB truly is like family. We are there for each other, not just at work but in our personal lives as well. There have been times I am not sure I would have made it through if it were not for the support of my USB family.”
Outside of work, Stacy enjoys taking trips with friends and family. A beach vacation is a must every year. She also enjoys traveling to the mountains and has many other locations on her bucket list. She’s an outdoor girl, camping, fishing, hiking, golfing and geocaching are just a few outdoor activities she enjoys. However, she also enjoys curling up on the couch and watching a good movie when time allows.
We see all the potential in Stacy, she has demonstrated strong work results and contributed in so many ways to the success of USB. We are proud of all her accomplishments.
