United Southern Bank branches will be hosting a food drive to help Aaron McNeil House. We will be collecting food at all of our branches until December 19th.
They are in need of the following items:
– Canned Meats (chicken, tuna, pork)
– Stuffing Mix
– Hamburger Helper Kits
– Frozen Meat (3 lbs. or less)
Any canned food or non-perishable foods will be gladly accepted as well.
Aaron McNeil House is a nonprofit started by funds raised by Nat Gaither, president of the Bank of Hopkinsville and others. It was the first school and library in Hopkinsville for African Americans. Later became a church and now operates as a crisis relief center. AMH promotes well being of families in Hopkinsville/Christian County through Crisis Relief and Food Pantry programs. They assist with basic needs including food, housing, utilities, and medication. They also offer budget counseling and youth education programming. Once a month they have food commodity at the fairgrounds.
